AUGMENTED REALILTY
More developments with Apple's ARKit, this time ManoPong have introduced what they claim to be the first example of hand gestures on the platform. I know I keep saying this, but I am curious to see what Apple's AR headset or glasses will be like.

Zach Lieberman showed off another great augmented reality video on twitter this week. This demo visualizes sound in 3D space, allowing you to travel back and forth through the visual and audio representation.

And speaking of sound in AR, Daniel Schneider showed off his open source augmented echolocation system, which aims to enable sightless perception of environments. Daniel's also made a hackaday page detailing the project.

As well as that, Microsoft have teamed up with security company Securitas to test out augmented reality for security guards.

EXOSKELETONS
Japanese robotics company ATOUN showed off their new Koma exoskeleton recently at a robotics fair. It looks like it's aimed at the industrial sector for helping factory workers. One cool thing is that it allows the user to both walk, as well as converting to a wheeled mode too.

DRONES
We've seen things like this before, but now famous weapons manufacturer Kalashnikov has released their own anti drone gun, which can jam signals up to 1km away. It also looks like it can hijack unencrypted signals too, taking control of consumer drones.

As a sign of where we are, Sandisk just announced a new 400GB micro SD card, which claims transfer speeds of up to 100Mb/s. This little beast will set you back $250.

SOFT ROBOTS
Here's a unique soft robot design. This snakebot has no rigid motors, instead using air bladders to move around, climb walls, and pick objects up.
